The Best Of Friends

Morgan just loves her Emmett (that's what she calls him). These two are best friends, I love how much Morgan loves Emmett and how much Emmett loves Morgan. She aways wants to be with him. When Emmett has to take naps, Morgan gets upset. She can get Emmett to laugh so hard, it is so fun to watch them together.

Follow Up

On Monday Dr. Su, Emmett's cardiologist called to see how he is doing. I told him that Emmett has a cold like we had hoped for. I also told him that Dr. Jopling requested for us to go and get some lab work done at Primary's and that everything came back normal except rhinovirus (the common cold). Dr. Su thought that was great that Dr. Jopling had done that and was so concerned about Emmett. Since Emmett is sick, we know that it is nothing to do with his heart and so we have a cardiology appointment April 18th to start scheduling Emmett's up coming cath, echo and surgery.

On Tuesday I took Emmett to see Dr. Jopling to get his 6 month immunizations and synagust shot, since we didn't get them done a week ago. Dr. Jopling said that Emmett's color looked great. He checked out Emmett's ears and saw that he a had a double ear infection and a red sore throat. At Emmett's 6 month appointment Dr. Jopling said that he could feel Emmett's liver a little bit and was very concerned about it. On Tuesday he checked to see if he could feel Emmett's liver and he couldn't. He thought that maybe since he felt the liver last week that maybe Emmett might of had a slight case of RSV, but since he has been getting the synagust shots that it wasn't very serious and didn't affect him.

This boy of ours hasn't really acted sick at all, he never pulled at his ears or anything. He is a tough little guy, if I do say so my self. Hopefully this antibiotic that Emmett is on will get him better quickly and that we wont have any more sickness in this house *knock on wood*.

I am so ready for summer to come!

6 Month's

Emmett had his 6 month checkup yesterday. He is in the 10% for weight (14.7lbs), head and height (25"). I had some concerns and Dr. Jopling called Emmett's cardiologist. So we had an early surprise visit to the cardiologist yesterday.

Yesterday morning Emmett was crying hard and so I went to make him a bottle. When I came back and he had stopped crying and was pale and lethargic. When I walked in the room my first thoughts where, I need to stay calm for Morgan and am I going to have to give Emmett CPR. I started talking to him and his color came back really fast and he drank his bottle and was back to his normal self, smiling and laughing with Morgan.

At the cardiologist appointment Emmett had a chest x-ray that is normally taken every other appointment. Dr. Su was a little concerned about one of Emmett's lungs. He said "I don't really want to say this, but I hope that Emmett is just getting a cold." Dr. Su upped his medication because of his weight. He said he will call us on Friday to checkup on Emmett and see how he is doing and if he is sick or not. Then we will schedule an appointment for one month. He said that if Emmett is not sick then it might change the up coming plans for Emmett and might make the surgery sooner then later.

Today Emmett is doing good and is being his normal self.

He is getting so big, way to fast!

Blessing Day

Emmett's Blessing

On Saturday November 27th, was Emmett's baby blessing at our church. It was a very spiritual and beautiful blessing that Adam gave to are tough little guy. It was a small occasion, with grandparent's, aunts, uncles, cousins and our Bishop. It was fun for the little kids to be there and see Emmett, this was there first time seeing him. Since Emmett can't be around other kids and big groups of people, our brother in-law's mom Kathy Cottle was so sweet to come to our house and watch Emmet while we had a brunch with are families. We are so very thankful for Kathy, that she could come to are home.

4 Month's

Emmett had his 4 month check up today. He is in the 5% in height and weight and 15% in his head. He now weighs 11lbs. 8oz, and is getting chunky. The Doctor said that he can't believe how well Emmett is doing. He has amazed many. We still can't take him around big groups or other kids, which is really hard and getting very old. But I just love this little guy and I am so thankful that he is here with us.
