9 Month's

Wow! It's true, 9 months has passed by so fast.

Here are Emmett's stats for 9 months:

Weight: 16 lb. (5th%)
Height: 27 inches (25th%)
Head: 17 (10th%)
Emmett is so much fun! We just love this little guy so much, he is such a peaceful, happy baby but definitely lets you know when he's mad or wants something.

Emmett loves to eat. I feed him solids about three times a day and he eats about 1 1/2 jars at each feeding. He loves the puffs and could eat those all day long if he could. At dinner time he likes to eat what we are eating. We've tried mashed potatoe's, bread & pancakes, and he loves all of it.

He drinks about 4 oz. in his bottles and has about 4 - 5 every day. Night's are a little different. He still is waking up about once or twice at night and drinking a bottle, but I am ok with that, he goes right back to sleep.

We put Emmett to bed around 8:30 every night and sleeps until about 8:00 in the morning. He's still waking up about once or twice a night and drinks a bottle and goes right back to sleep. Occasionally he's had a few nights that he's slept through the night, but then I haven't slept cause I'll be so nervous and get up to see if he's ok.

Emmett has 5 teeth and another one coming in. I just love his toothy smile! One kid to the next is so different on things. Morgan's teeth were slow coming in. The rate Emmett's going he's going to have a full mouth by the time he's a year old. :)

Emmett just loves Morgan. Some times I think that Morgan is his favorite person. Morgan can get Emmett to smile every time she talks to him. They are so cute together and are the best of friends.

The Saturday before Easter we had my family come over and had a Easter egg hunt and a BBQ with them.

Easter Sunday Morning!

This year the easter bunny hid Morgan's basket. She thought it was pretty fun hunting for it!

She found her basket behind the couch.
(sorry some of the pictures are blurry)

Morgan checking out all the great stuff that the Easter Bunny brought her.

Let us know how excited she is about her Easter basket!

Emmett really loved the plastic Easter Eggs in his basket.

This little girl sure loves shoes!
She was very excited for these sandals, it was pretty funny how excited she was.

Heart Cath

Just before his heart cath procedure. Not to happy!

Emmett had his heart cath and sedated echo yesterday at Primary Children's Medical Center. I was really nervous for him to go in and get it done. But I am so thankful for all the doctors and the nurses at Primary's. Emmett did great, still a little fussy today, but I don't blame him at all.

After the procedure we sat down with Dr. Gray. He said that Emmett did very well and that he is looking really good for being a heart baby. He showed us pictures of his cath. His heart is looking good and his left ventricle is looking great as well. Now Dr. Gray will take the information that he got and talk to Dr. Su and then they will take it to the board and decide when to do his open heart surgery.

Last Synigas Shot

Took Emmett to the doctor today to get his synigas shot. I am glad to be done with that, but at the same time I am also nerves to be done. At the doctor's, Emmett's stats where lower then normal. They were in the 70's and usually they are in the low 90's. Dr. Jopling was nerves about his numbers and wanted to talk to Dr. Su.

Morgan went with us and was so cute at the doctor. The last couple of days she has just been talking and telling stories a lot lately. Morgan loved talking to the nurse. Morgan said to the nurse: "I have a book of Mormon and it talks about Jesus Christ and Holy Ghost!" "I go to the Holy Ghost house on Sunday's and play with my friends the Sun Beams." Then she started singing Follow The Prophet.

I am so happy that Morgan is learning a lot from her Sun Beam's class.

Cardiology Appointment

After Emmett's visit to the doctor on the 5th. Dr. Su called and scheduled Emmett to see him sooner then his original appointment that was on the 18th. They took a chest x-ray and then checked stats. His oxygen level was still in the 70's, but has good color and blood pressure. Dr. Su said that he looks great, that you wouldn't of know that his numbers were lower. At the appointment we talked about scheduling Emmett for a Cath and a sedated echo. This is so they can check the pressures in his heart and the size of his left ventricle.

Today Primary's called and I scheduled Emmett for Monday the 18th for the Cath Lab. After the Cath and the Echo they will give the results to the surgeon and then, this will determine when Emmett's next heart surgery is. Dr. Su is predicting that it will probably be about mid May.

I am really glad that Dr. Jopling was so concerned about Emmett's low numbers and that we got into see Dr. Su and to schedule Emmett for a Cath.

Thank you every one for your prayers and concerns!

The Best Of Friends

Morgan just loves her Emmett (that's what she calls him). These two are best friends, I love how much Morgan loves Emmett and how much Emmett loves Morgan. She aways wants to be with him. When Emmett has to take naps, Morgan gets upset. She can get Emmett to laugh so hard, it is so fun to watch them together.

Morgan wanted to read to Emmett.

I just love these two kids!

Follow Up

On Monday Dr. Su, Emmett's cardiologist called to see how he is doing. I told him that Emmett has a cold like we had hoped for. I also told him that Dr. Jopling requested for us to go and get some lab work done at Primary's and that everything came back normal except rhinovirus (the common cold). Dr. Su thought that was great that Dr. Jopling had done that and was so concerned about Emmett. Since Emmett is sick, we know that it is nothing to do with his heart and so we have a cardiology appointment April 18th to start scheduling Emmett's up coming cath, echo and surgery.

On Tuesday I took Emmett to see Dr. Jopling to get his 6 month immunizations and synagust shot, since we didn't get them done a week ago. Dr. Jopling said that Emmett's color looked great. He checked out Emmett's ears and saw that he a had a double ear infection and a red sore throat. At Emmett's 6 month appointment Dr. Jopling said that he could feel Emmett's liver a little bit and was very concerned about it. On Tuesday he checked to see if he could feel Emmett's liver and he couldn't. He thought that maybe since he felt the liver last week that maybe Emmett might of had a slight case of RSV, but since he has been getting the synagust shots that it wasn't very serious and didn't affect him.

This boy of ours hasn't really acted sick at all, he never pulled at his ears or anything. He is a tough little guy, if I do say so my self. Hopefully this antibiotic that Emmett is on will get him better quickly and that we wont have any more sickness in this house *knock on wood*.

I am so ready for summer to come!
